Guardian Fitness & Medical Weight Loss Program
A structured, medically supervised approach to sustainable weight loss—built around your body, your labs, and your goals.
Step 1: Comprehensive Health Evaluation
We start by understanding the full picture of your health—not just your weight.
Your evaluation includes:
- Detailed review of your medical history and medications
- Height, weight, and BMI assessment
- Nutrition review (24-hour recall or food frequency questionnaire)
- Comprehensive lab work to evaluate metabolism, hormones, and overall health
Labs may include:
CBC, CMP, lipid panel, thyroid studies (TSH with reflex T4, Free T3), A1C, vitamin D, B12/folate, iron studies, and selected hormone testing when appropriate (such as testosterone, estradiol, SHBG, LH/FSH).
This helps identify underlying factors that may be affecting weight such as insulin resistance, thyroid imbalance, hormone changes, or nutritional deficiencies.
Step 2: Your Personalized Weight Loss Plan
After reviewing your results, we create a plan tailored specifically to you.
We will:
- Set realistic and achievable goals (a common starting goal is 5–10% body weight loss over 3–6 months)
- Review your metabolism, habits, and lifestyle patterns
- Discuss barriers such as cravings, stress, sleep, or medications
- Build your individualized “Precision Plan to Better Health”
BMI Reference Guide
- Underweight: <18.5
- Normal: 18.5–24.9
- Overweight: 25–29.9
- Obesity Class I: 30–34.9
- Obesity Class II: 35–39.9
- Obesity Class III: ≥40
Your plan is designed to be realistic, sustainable, and adaptable—not restrictive or extreme.
Step 3: Medical Treatment, Coaching & Ongoing Support
Weight loss is a process—not a one-time visit.
Your care may include:
Lifestyle & Behavioral Support
We help you build long-term habits around:
- Nutrition and meal planning
- Physical activity that fits your lifestyle
- Sleep improvement and stress management
- Behavior strategies for cravings, emotional eating, and consistency
Medication Support (If Appropriate)
For some patients, medications can significantly improve success by reducing appetite and improving metabolic function.
Options may include:
- GLP-1 medications (such as semaglutide or tirzepatide)
- Other metabolic or appetite-supporting medications when appropriate
These tools are used alongside lifestyle changes—not as a replacement for them.
Semaglutide & Tirzepatide Options
We offer both brand-name and compounded options when clinically appropriate.
These medications are typically started at a low dose and gradually increased over time to improve tolerance and effectiveness. Your provider will guide all dosing and adjustments.
Eligibility is based on:
- BMI ≥30, OR
- BMI ≥27 with weight-related conditions (such as hypertension, sleep apnea, or diabetes)
Ongoing Monitoring
We stay involved throughout your journey.
You can expect:
- Follow-ups every 4–6 weeks initially
- Adjustments to medications and plan as needed
- Monitoring of labs, weight trends, and progress
- Reduced visit frequency as you stabilize and improve
